Surface / Conditions you’re playing in: Since the growth of 5 aside football and many new surfaces buying the correct gloves for the correct surface is very important. As well as this there have been many developments in latex’s with specially made latex for wet weather, dry weather as well as special hard wearing palms for harder surfaces the choice
Wet Weather There are now many gloves which have been made with wet weather in mind. Wet weather gloves provide unsurpassed grip in wet weather conditions or when the latex is wet. Chemicals are added to the latex which react with water to come tacky and grip the ball better in these conditions.
Warm WeatherGloves that are best used in dry conditions, Most brands offer gloves for warmer weather or climates. Materials are added to the keepers glove to help keep the hand dry and cool at all times.
Cold WeatherGloves for use in extreme cold weather conditions. Some of the major goalkeeping brands offer keeper gloves with a material that help keep the hands warm.
All WeatherThese are gloves that can be used in all weather conditions, many brands use a latex which is ideal for use in dry wet or cold conditions. Sells and Adidas use fabric used by NASSA which is a temperature regulating material.
Hard GroundThese gloves are made for use on hard ground or surfaces such as 3g pitches indoors or astro turf, latex is not as soft but will wear longer, the hard ground latex’s are the perfect glove solution for hard ground surfaces as soft latex’s on most other gloves do tar up far faster on this surfaces, it is important to choose the right gloves for these surfaces.
